语态概述
一.英语的语态是通过动词形式的变化表现出来的。英语中有两种语态:主动语态和被动语态。主动语态表示主语是动作的执行者。
例如:ManypeoplespeakChinese.
谓语:speak的动作是由主语manypeople来执行的。
被动语态表示主语是动作的承受者,即行为动作的对象。例如:
Chineseisspokenbymanypeople.主语English是动词speak的承受者。
二、被动语态的构成
被动语态由"助动词be+及物动词的过去分词"构成。人称、数和时态的变化是通过be的变化表现出来的。现以speak为例说明被动语态在各种时态中的构成。
一般现在时:am/is/are+spoken
一般过去时:was/were+spoken
一般将来时:will/shallbe+spoken
现在进行时:am/is/arebeing+spoken
过去进行时:was/werebeing+spoken
现在完成时:have/hasbeen+spoken
过去完成时:hadbeen+spoken
三、被动语态的用法
(1)不知道或没有必要说明动作的执行者是谁。
例如:Somenewcomputerswerestolenlastnight.一些新电脑在昨晚被盗了。
(不知道电脑是谁偷的)
Thisbridgewasfoundedin1981.这座桥竣工于1981年。
(2)强调动作的承受者,而不强调动作的执行者。

四、主动语态变被动语态的方法
(1)把主动语态的宾语变为被动语态的主语。
(2)把谓语变成被动结构(be+过去分词)(根据被动语态句子里的主语的人称和数,以及原来主动语态句子中动词的时态来决定be的形式)。
(3)把主动语态中的主语放在介词by之后作宾语,将主格改为宾格。例如:

一.定语从句
㈠定语从句的定义
在复合句中修饰某一名词或代词的从句叫定语从句。定语从句通常紧跟在它所修饰的名词或代词之后,这种名词或代词叫做先行词,即“先行词+定语从句”。定语从句分为限制性定语从句和非限制性定语从句两种。引导定语从句的关联词为关系代词或关系副词。关系代词有who,whom,which,that,whose,在定语从句中可用作主语、宾语或定语(whose);关系副词有when,where,why,在定语从句中只用作状语。

㈡关系代词引导的定语从句
⒈关系代词who,whom的用法
当定语从句所修饰的先行词是人的时候用关系代词who/whom/that。关系代词在定语从句中作主语时用who/that;关系代词在定语从句中作宾语时用who/whom/that,并且可以省略;通常用who代替whom,但whom不能代替who。关系代词作主语时,定语从句的谓语动词的数取决于先行词的数,即定语从句的动词形式与先行词保持一致。注意:先行词为one,ones,anyone或those时,关系代词只能用who。

⒉关系代词which,that的用法
当定语从句所修饰的先行词是物时,用关系代词which/that。关系代词在定语从句中作宾语时可以省略,需注意以下两种情况:当定语从句中动词短语含有介词时,若介词后置,可使用关系代词which/that,并且可以省略;若介词置于关系代词之前,只能用which,并且不能省略。

⒊关系代词whose的用法
关系代词whose可用于指人或物的先行词,whose在定语从句中作定语,先行词与whose之后的词是所属关系,当先行词是人时whose=ofwhom,当先行词是物时whose=ofwhich。
①I’dlikeahousewhosedoorsfacesouth.=I’dlikeahousethedoorsofwhichfacesouth.
②Heistheboywhosefatherisafamouswriter.=Heistheboythefatherofwhomisafamouswriter.
⒋下列情况下只用关系代词that
⑴当先行词是以下指物的不定代词时:all,none,much,any,little,few,anything,nothing,everything…。
①Ibelieveallthatyoutoldme.②Telluseverythingthatyouknow.
⑵当先行词被以下词修饰,并且指物时:all,any,every,each,few,little,much,no,some,thevery,thesame,oneof,theonly。注意:①oneof+人+关系代词who/that②oneof+物+关系代词that。

⑷当先行词中既有人又有物时。

⒌下列情况不用关系代词that。
⑴介词之后用whom(人)或which(物)。⑵引导非限制性定语从句用who,whom,whose(人)或which(物)。
⒍当先行词为something时,关系代词既可用that,也可用which。

⒊关系副词why的用法
当定语从句的先行词是reason时,关系副词用why=forwhich,常用thereasonwhy/forwhich…。
Wedon’tknowthereasonwhyhehasn’tcomeyet.=Wedon’tknowthereasonforwhichhehasn’tcomeyet.
㈣限制性定语从句与非限制性定语从句
限制性定语从句是先行词在意义上不可缺少的修饰成分,如果去掉,主句的意思就不完整或失去意义,这种定语从句与主句的关系十分密切,与主句之间不能用逗号分开。
非限制性定语从句与主句关系不十分密切,只是对先行词作附加说明,如果去掉,主句的意思仍然完整。这种定语从句与主句之间往往用逗号分开,不用that引导。
①Hehastwosisters,whoworkasreporters.他有两个姐姐,她们是记者。(他只有两个姐姐。)
