1．引入新课
我国是火箭的故乡。“起火”实际就是火箭的祖先。早在一千多年前的北宋初期，士兵们就已经发明了“起火”绑在箭上。(展示投影片或挂图)点燃“起火”，箭就向敌方飞去。这就是最早的火箭——板书课题
2．进行新课
(1)火箭升空的原理
火箭为什么能升上天呢？为了说明这个问题，我们先做个小实验。
演示：气球的反冲运动。(要提醒学生注意以下几点)
①气球充气后，松开气口，气球向着喷气的反方向飞行。
②气充得越足，飞得越远。
说明：
气球内的气体以很大速度向外喷出时，对气球产生一个向喷气的反方向的推力，使气球飞出去。

火箭升空的原理与气球反冲运动相同。在火箭燃烧室内部装着燃料和氧化剂。燃料燃烧时产生高温高压燃气，燃气通过喷管高速喷出时，对火箭产生巨大推力，从而把火箭发射出去。从能量的角度来看，火箭也是把内能转化成机械能的机器，所以它也是热机家族中的一员。同时由于它所用燃料的形态不同，我们又把火箭分为固体火箭和液体火箭两种，较常用的是液体火箭。
(2)三级火箭
早期的火箭主要用于战争，而今人们更注重它的和平利用。例如发射卫星、运送空间站等等。为了把卫星、飞船等有效载荷送上太空，人们研制出了多级火箭，即二级或三级火箭。(展示投影片或挂图，介绍结构)下面以三级火箭为例说明它们是怎样工作的。

三级火箭的每一级都像一支独立的火箭。发射时先点燃第一级火箭，几分钟后这级火箭的燃料烧尽自动脱落，同时引燃第二级火箭，第二级火箭燃料烧尽后也脱落，第三级火箭开始工作，直到把卫星、飞船等送到预定轨道。
三级火箭像接力赛一样，都是在前一级的速度基础上再加速。同时，由于每一级脱落后都能使剩余部分中有效载荷的质量的比例增加，火箭结构部分的质量在逐级减小，仅从这一点来看就比单级火箭优越得多。
建国以来，在我国几代航天工作者的不懈努力下，我国的运载技术已跃居世界先进行列，具有国际水平的“长征二号E”捆绑火箭，已在国际商业卫星发射中赢得了很高声誉。航天事业有着诱人的、广阔的前景。航天事业的未来也将责无旁贷地落到你们身上。未来的航天器将会出自你们之手。希望同学们努力学习，掌握本领，为祖国航天事业的飞速发展贡献自己的才智。
