大家都知道howmany和howmuch是用来提问多少,的意思,那么howmany和howmuch有什么区别吗?
1所修饰词的不同
howmany用来修饰可数名词的复数,它的句式是:Howmany+复数名词+一般疑问句+?
howmuch用来修饰不可数名词,表示数量,也可单独使用。
2howmany的用法
(1)对therebe句型中主语的数量如:some,five,onlyone等提问时,如果主语是可数名词,不管主语是单数还是复数一般都用复数形式提问,因为问话人不知道具体的数量是多少,而且many只能接可数名词复数形式,所以be一定要用are.即用Howmany+可数名词复数+arethere+地点/时间状语?的句型结构.例如:

howmany在句首,名词复数跟着走,一般问句紧相随,其它成分不要丢.
3howmuch的用法
(1)用来询问事物的数量,后接不可数名词。例如:

(2)用来询问事物的重量。例如:
-Howmuchdoesthepigweigh?这头猪多重?-Eightykilos.八十公斤。
(3)howmuch意为“多少钱”时,可单独使用,也可构成词组howmuchmoney,但英语中常省略money,用来询问某物的价钱、价格。

infrontof:表示“在……(范围以外)的前面”。若要表示“在……(范围内)的前面”,则要用inthefrontof。另外,与before比较,在表示场所时,常用infrontof,而很少用before;表示动态效果的“在……之前”时,常用before。

behind:表示在某一物体的后面(=atthebackof),与infrontof互为反义词。
例:Thehotelisjustbehindourhouse.
6.in,into,outof,inside,outside
in:表示静止的位置,“在……里面,在……内”。
into:表示“到……里面”,是一个动态的过程。
outof:是into的反义词,表示“从……出来”。
例:(1)Weareinthereading-roomnow.
(2)Theboyjumpedintothewater.
(3)Thestudentswentoutoftheclassroom.
inside:用作介词时,与in相同,表示静止的位置,“在……里面,在……内”,除此以外,inside还常用作名词或副词,其反义词为:outside。

7.along,across,through
along:表示“沿着……(街道、河流等,相当于down)”。
across:表示“横过、横穿……”,(强调从某一平面过去,如河流、街道、广场、桥梁等)。
through:表示穿过某一立体的空间或两边有建筑物的街道等。

(二)基数词
Weusecardinalnumbersalmosteveryday.Weusethemforlotsofdifferentthings.
1.基数词的读法:
(1)表示“几十几”的数,十位和个位之间用“—”连接。e.g.:32thirty-two
(2)101—999之间的数,百位和十位之间加“and”。e.g.:928ninehundredandtwenty-eight
