1.本课在对多个节日的描述时,谈及了这些假日里的一些风俗习惯。教师可以围绕“节日”这一主题,设计活动让学生参与信息搜索,可以通过对一整年节日以及该节日的历史和所遵循的习俗进行罗列,更深入地感受不同地域的不同文化背景尽可能地让学生发挥主动性,以期达到最佳的学习效果。

2.充分利用本课的“定语从句”现象,设计对话,小品等形式,让学生在模拟情境中运用和巩固语法现象,从而更牢固地掌握定语从句地运用。

3.本单元结束时,利用本课“节日”这一主题,让学生围绕一年四季的各个节日,收集各自的历史,习俗,以小组为单位出一份节日海报布置教室,在掌握知识,了解习俗的同时,也美化了教室。

说明:

利用“头脑风暴”是提供学生积极思维的好机会。这一环节的运用既能发挥学生的积极性、主动性,又能使学生在小组活动中互帮互助。通过小组活动方式呈现合作结果,让全体学生都对所有节日进行回顾与复习,对新的词汇加以补充与学习1.教师准备空白纸,分发到每一合作小组中。在组员中确定“记录者”;“汇报者”,并明确职责。时间控制在2分钟。

2.在“头脑风暴”活动过程中,“记录者”记录组内成员能想到的所有节日。

3.请每组“汇报者”报出所罗列的节日总数。教师可把这些节日都写在黑板上,让全班学生学习。

4.请其余各组补充未提及的节日,共同充实词汇库。

5.最后,教师补充一些学生未提及的一些新词汇。

说明:

学生用图片介绍一个西方或者中国的节日。图片可以利用画报,报纸上的或者现成的漫画。有条件的可以使用电脑制作powerpoint。实践活动所需要的语言材料,尽量利用课文中ListeningandSpeaking中介绍的。教师要及早了解学生所选的节日,帮助他们找到适用的语言材料。注意学生的节日介绍,一定要提节日名称,由来,及其特色。如讲到theDragonBoatFestival,其日期是农历五月初五(the5thdayofthe5thlunarmonth),是纪念古代伟大爱国诗人屈原。

要求学生尽量利用课文里介绍的语言材料,不必强调新意。控制题材,不能出现大量生词,防止有迷信倾向的材料出现。[链接3]

说明:

小组活动+全班活动。每位学生准备一张照片或者图片,然后以4人为一组进行小组活动,向小组其他成员介绍图片上的人和物,强调在介绍的时候,必须使用定语从句。然后每组推荐一位介绍得最好的同学,在全班范围内与同学分享。
