1)wonder
(1)wonder及物动词,意为“想知道”,相当于wanttoknow,后接宾语从句。

(2)wonder可作不及物动词,意为“想知道”,可构成固定短语wonderaboutsth.WearewonderingaboutnextSundayforvacation.
(3)wonder还可用作可数名词,意为“奇迹,机关”。

2)whether连词,意为“是否”,其后接动词不定式或宾语从句。

whether与if都可用于引导宾语从句,但以下情况只能用whether.

(1)force用作及物动词,意为“强迫,迫使(某人做某事),常用于被动语态。

(2)takeabreak意为“休息一下”,也可写作haveabreak.break用作可数名词,意为“间歇,休息”。
