名词所有格:
在英语中有些名词可以加“’s”来表示所有关系,带这种词尾的名词形式称为该名词的所有格,如:ateacher’sbook。它有两种不同的形式
一、在名词尾加’s主要表示有生命的事物或自然界独一无二的某些空间和时间名词的所有格,如theworld’s,thesun’s,theearth’s,today’s,yesterday’s等。
1.单数名词词尾加“’s”,复数名词词尾没有s,也要加“’s”。例theboy’sbag男孩的书包
2.若名词已有复数词尾又是s,只加“’”。
3.在表示店铺或教堂的名字或某人的家时,名词所有格的后面常常不出现它所修饰的名词
 例thebarber’s理发店
4.如果两个名词并列,并且分别有’s,则表示“分别有”;只有一个’s,则表示“共有”。
例John’sandMary’sroom(两间)JohnandMary’sroom(一间)
5.不定代词后接else,所有格放在else上。
例somebodyelse’sbag名词所有格所修饰的词,如果前面已经提到,往往可以省略,以免重复6.名词所有格后面有指地点等的名词时,有的在习惯上可以省略。

7.一般地说,’s所有格多用于有生命的东西,of所有格多用于无生命的东西。
冠词的用法:
冠词分不定冠词(TheIndefiniteArticle)和定冠词(TheDefiniteArticle)a,an是不定冠词,the是定冠词。an,a是不定冠词,仅用在单数可数名词前面,表示“一”的意义,但不强调数目观念。a用在以辅音(指辅音音素)开头的词前,an用在以元音(指元素音素)开头的词前。
定冠词the的基本用法:
A.特指可用于各类名词,包括物质名词、抽象名词及专有名词。如
 Iownadog.Thedogisbrown.
B.表示世界上独一无二的事物,名词前用定冠词。
如:Theearthrunsaroundthesun.
C.在最高级、序数词及next,last,same等词前常用定冠词。
如:Thelastoneisthemostimportantone.
D.定冠词the与指示代词同源,有“那(这)个”的意思,可以和一个名词连用,来表示某个或某些特定的人或东西。E.特指双方都明白的人或物
F.上文提到过的人或事G.指世上独一物二的事物:thesun,thesky,themoon, theearth
