Unit1Wheredidyougoonvacation?

不定代词:不指名代替任何特定名词或形容词的代词叫做不定代词。

用法注意:

1.some和any+可数名/不可数名。

some多用于肯定句,any多用于否定句、疑问句和条件从句。有些问句中用some,不用any,问话者希望得到对方肯定回答。

2.由some,any,no,every与body,one,thing构成的复合不定代词作主语时,其谓语动词用三单。

常见的how疑问词:

1.maybe/maybe

maybe是副词,意为“大概,可能,或许”,一般用于句首。Maybe是情态动词,意为“可能是...,也许是...,大概是...”.

3.hard/hardly

hard作形容词,意为“困难的,艰苦的,硬的”;作副词,意为“努力地,猛烈地”。hardly为副词,意为“几乎不”。

It’sraininghard.Thepeoplecanhardlygooutside.

4.Asforhomework,moststudentsdohomeworkeveryday.

asfor...意思是“至于;关于”,+名词、代词或动词的-ing形式(即动名词)。

至于他,我永远不希望在这里见到。

Asforthestory,youernotbelieveit.

关于那故事,你最好不要相信。

5.Thatsoundsinteresting. 

这是“主语+系动词+表语”结构的简单句。sound(听起来),look(看起来),smell(闻起来),taste(尝起来),feel(觉得),seem(好象),grow(变得),get(变得)等词在英语中可用作系动词,后跟形容词作表语。如:

Ittastesgood.这味道好。

Themusicsoundsverysweet.这音乐听起来很入耳。

Thesmokegrewheavierandheavier.烟雾变得越来越浓了。

6.percent名词,意为“百分之……”

百分数的表示方法:基数+percent(不用复数形式),percent做主语时,谓语动词的数要根据其后面的名词来确定。

50%:fiftypercent 百分之五十

Fiftypercentoftheapplesarebad.50%的苹果都坏了。

Twentypercentofthemeatisinthefridge.20%的肉都在冰箱

7.not…atall意为“一点也不”,not应放在be动词、情态动词或助动词之后。

Thestoryisn’tinterestingatall.那个故事一点也没有趣。

8.Itis+adj.todosth.做某事是……的。

Itisinterestingtoplaycomputergames.玩电脑很有趣。

9.take,spend,pay

Ittakessb.sometimetodosth.意为“花费某人……时间来做某事”。

人(sb.)spend时间/钱onsth.“买某物花了……钱”。

人(sb.)spend时间/钱(in)doing“花费多少时间来做某事”。

pay的主语必须是人,而“花钱买某物”为pay...for...

10.however副词,意为“然而,可是”,表示转折关系,可放在句首、句中、句末。

二、语法:

(一)、情态动词用法小结

情态动词表示说话人对某一动作或状态的态度,如需要、可能、意愿或怀疑,有一定的词义,但不完整,其后一定要跟不带to的动词不定式(即动词原形)(oughtto除外)。另外情态动词没有人称和数的变化。常见的情态动词有:can,could,may,might,must,need,shall,will,should,would及半情态动词hadbetter,haveto。其用法如下:

1.can与could

can与could意为“能;会”,表示请求,could是can的过去式,在表示请求时没有时间上的差别,只是语气比can委婉。表示允许或征求对方意见时,可代替may。如:

—Yes,Ican.

②—CanIaskyouaquestion?

—Yes,ofcourseyoucan.

2.may与might

二者表示请求许可时,意为“可以”;还可以表示可能性、推测。might是may的过去式形式。如:Youmaygonow.

3.must与haveto

must表示说话人的主观看法;haveto表示客观需要。如:

①YouareweakinEnglish,soyoumustworkhardatit.(表示主观)

②Itstoolate.Ihavetogohome.(表示客观)

注:must表示推测时,意为“一定”,只用于肯定句。如:

Hemustbeinhospital,becauseheisillbadly.

must意为“必须”时,其否定式是neednt。如:

4.need

need意为“需要”,既可作情态动词,也可作实义动词,need作情态动词时主要用于疑问句或否定句,其否定式为neednt;作实义动词时有人称、时态和数的变化,肯定形式为needtodo,否定形式为dontneedtodo。如:

5.shall与should

should是shall的过去式,用于第一人称中,表示询问或征求意见,用于肯定句时可译为“应该”。如:

6.will与would

will用于将来时态,表示询问对方是否愿意,或者表示客气的邀请。would是will的过去式,往往表示意愿或请求。如:

7.hadbetter

hadbetter意为“最好”,没有人称和数的变化,后接动词原形,其否定式为:hadbetternot。如:

(二)聚焦一般疑问句和特殊疑问句

[聚焦一]一般疑问句和特殊疑问句的定义

一般疑问句是对某一情况“是、否”提出质疑,常用yes或no回答,朗读时常用升调。

特殊疑问句是以特殊疑问词开头,对陈述句中的某一部分提出疑问的句子。朗读时常用降调。

[聚焦二]一般疑问句和特殊疑问句的构成及应答。

一、一般疑问句

1.含有系动词be或情态动词的陈述句,变为一般疑问句:I’mapoliceman.→Areyouapoliceman?Icanhelpyou.→Canyouhelpme?

2.若陈述句的谓语动词是行为动词:Helikestoplayfootball.→Doesheliketoplayfootball?

3.一般疑问句的应答。回答时,注意采用相应的人称代词以避免重复,否定回答时还要注意缩写,不过am与not不能缩写为amn‘t。如:

二、特殊疑问句

1.特殊疑问句的构成:“特殊疑问词+一般疑问句”。如:Howoldareyou?

2.特殊疑问句的应答不用“yes/no”,应作具体回答。如:

3.特殊疑问句中的疑问词的选用是最关键的。那么特殊疑问词有哪些呢?

①疑问代词可在疑问句中作主语、宾语、表语和定语。常见的有:what,who,whose,which等。
