Grammar(Ⅰ)时间状语从句
一.引导时间状语从句的连词除了when,while和as(在Module3已经学习过)外,常见的还有:as,after,before,once,since,till,until,when,whenever,while,aslongas,assoonas.

Grammar(Ⅱ)原因状语从句
一.引导原因状语从句的连词主要有because,as,since,nowthat等。
1.because所表示的原因有强烈的因果关系。从句放在主句后。回答why提出的问题时,一定要用because。

我们做这件事是因为我喜欢。

2.since一般表示对方已知的,无需加以说明的既成事实的理由,全句中心在主句,语气比because弱,常译为“既然”。nowthat与since意思。接近,表示“既然,鉴于”。Since,nowthat引导的从句常放在句首。

既然你长大了,就不应该依靠父母。

3.as表示十分明显的原因。一般说明因果关系,着重点在主句。语气比because,since弱,常译为“由于”,as引导的从句常放在句首。

4.for:“因为”,但它不是从属连词,而是并列连词。不是用来说明,补充解释或表示一种推理,所以for引导的句子一般不放在句首。
